Frasconi ( 1919-2013) was born in Buenos Aires and worked in Connecticut. This wonderful pencil signed woodcut is in vibrant colors. It is from an extremely limited edition, another of which is at the Smithsonian. This well listed artist is in the collections at MOMA and the Metropolitan Museum. This is apparently the largest woodcut done by the artist. I’m used in the sale of this piece is his book of 12 linoleum prints published in 1954 by the Museum of Modern Art.
